ASPCA leads for dogs overall, winning in 42 states while Figo has lower rates in Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Iowa, Nebraska, New Jersey, Vermont and Wyoming. What distinguishes the provider is its higher proportion of positive sentiment (71% are 5-star ratings on Trustpilot vs. 68% for Figo), with more reviews recommending the company for agent service and fast claims processing. ASPCA also has higher positive mentions on Reddit and a more favorable BBB rating than Figo.

Figo has better pet insurance coverage for dogs and cats than ASPCA, ranking sixth nationally while ASPCA ranks eighth. Where Figo pulls ahead is its 100% reimbursement rate option and a one-day accident waiting period. ASPCA wins on annual limit flexibility, with options from $2,500 to unlimited, and better pre-existing condition terms at six symptom-free months compared to Figo's 12.
