ASPCA remains dominant for dogs overall, winning in 42 states across the US while Figo upsets the company in Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Iowa, Nebraska, New Jersey, Vermont and Wyoming. ASPCA delivers slightly better customer experience than Figo, ranking sixth nationally for both dog and cat insurance in our study, one place above its competitor. Mainly what distinguishes the provider is their higher proportional amounts of positive sentiment (71% are 5-star ratings on Trustpilot vs. 68% for Figo) with more reviews recommending the company for their agent service and fast claims processing. The company also sports higher positive mentions on Reddit and a more favorable BBB rating than Figo.

Figo offers better pet insurance coverage for dogs and cats than ASPCA, ranking sixth nationally while ASPCA ranks eighth. Figo differentiates itself from its competitor for base terms with a100% reimbursement rate selection and a shorter waiting period for accidents of a single day. Annual limits selections are wider ($2,500 to unlimited) and preexisting conditions terms (6 months vs. 12 from Figo) with ASPCA are more favorable.
