Thomas Faulconer is a Clinical Professor of Risk Management and Insurance at Butler University. He began his career as an attorney and adjunct professor of business law before discovering his passion for teaching and training. Professor Faulconer holds several prestigious financial designations, including the CFP® and CPCU, as well as the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from The American College.
He spent much of his career at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, where he held various roles such as Advanced Sales Counsel, Director of Agency Training, and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing nearly 1,000 employees and managing all sales and marketing activities.
In addition to his teaching role at Butler University, Professor Faulconer is active in the financial and insurance sectors. He owns and operates Transitions Financial LLC, a financial planning and investment management firm, and Re:Form School LLC, which creates and distributes online insurance training. He has authored three books, including the Life and Health Insurance Fundamentals textbook, and provides consulting services through Butler University's Office of Professional Services.
