Daniel Scott Lowrance, MBA, Ph.D. currently holds concurrent titles of Associate Professor of Practice, Associate Director of the Real Estate Program and Associate Director of the Weitzman Institute for Real Estate, all at the University of Texas at Dallas. He was previously with Peak Group (a private REIT doing in-house development of SFR and utilizing 1031 exchange for acquisitions) as Director of Investments. Prior to that, he was Director of Investments at Invitation Homes, a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (ticker NYSE: INVH & 88,000 AUM), where he led the underwriting of Build-to-Rent (BTR) deploying $1 billion in forward contracts across 14 mixed density SFR & MF projects, and Bulk portfolios.
